Life Begins in the Pond - and other things

It's been a funny few weeks in the studio with lots of different jobs still in progress. The garden is still presenting me with daily delights, so I am madly recording the images on my camera as the ideas just keep on coming.

Here are a few new little pieces now available for sale in my store www.koruarts.co.uk/shop

Just as we all went into #isolation, the #tadpoles were starting their journey of life in my little pond and, whilst playing in the studio with some of my #studioglass, I suddenly found myself putting together my own version.

Yesterday, just as lockdown begins to ease, the tadpoles have metamorphosed into beautiful green common pond frogs that hide amongst the #Iris and #buttercup yellow flowers of the Lesser #Spearwort that surrounds the pond.

Luna, my #SilverTabby is enjoying a game of #cat and #frog that seems to be played on a daily basis, but it seems that, so far, the frogs are, generally, getting the better of her.

The Forget Me Nots are beginning to fade in the Summer Heat, but the #garden has been awash with the #blue blossoms of these delicate little #flowers as they turn their heads to the sun.

I really enjoyed making this tiny little bowl using #flameworked glass, with fused and painted elements. The #ForgetMeNots will be with us until September, but, when they fade, this little piece of glass will make sure we remember their beauty and look forward to them arriving with us next year, when hopefully we can all be out and about enjoying them.

Do sign up to Follow the #KoruArts Blog using the link at the top of the page, this way you will be able to watch the progress of the pieces in the collection as they are created. It would be lovely to have your comments and feedback.

Until #Lockdown is fully lifted and the pressure on the #NHS has been eased, I will be donating 20% of sales from this collection to the #NHSHeroes Appeal. - https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/WSHTHospitalHeroes. #LoveYourHospital is the official charity for West Sussex Hospitals and is supporting the health and wellbeing of the tremendous staff at St Richard's, Worthing and Southlands Hospitals who have looked after me and my family on many occasions over the years.
