These one to one mentoring days are designed for those of you who already are skilled in either fusing or stained glass and would like to learn more intricate aspects of either of these skills. Made to suit your own skill set and requirement, each day is carefully tailor made to give you what you feel you need. Skills I can offer include the following:-
Use of Frits and Powders, Reactions and full fuse techniques, Land and Seascape designs in fused glass, Kiln Carving, Flowers in Glass, Creating your glass canvas - from design to completion, Use of Inclusions, Basic Traditional Glass Painting, Using Kiln Formed glass in traditional Leadlighting. During these days you will be able to play with a variety of new techniques which will help you develop your skills further.
Contact me or make a preliminary reservation and I will get in touch for an informal discussion so that I can assess your level and we can design a course to suit you. We can then fit a date in the diary. If it is possible to team you up with another student at a similar skill level then the cost can reduce to £160 per person per day.
Please note that these workshops are very limited and there may be a wait.
Most materials are supplied, however, if you are working on a large project and need to use an excessive amount of glass or require specific colours to be ordered in, or multiple firings, we will need to agree on an extra cost for these materials.
Workshops are held in my garden studio in Bognor Regis. Located in a beautiful, private, flower filled setting, you will be surrounded by inspiration. Many of my students come back time and time again to enjoy a peaceful day in the studio. Tutor : Jan Simpson.
