✨ Where the Seahorse Waits – a journey in glass

This mug design is inspired by my glassmaking journey, beginning with a stained glass seahorse panel created in 2001 during my City & Guilds training. That early piece now lives in a friend’s window, a reminder of where I started.

Two decades later, when completing my BA in ceramics and glass , the seahorse returned in a new form—crafted from a three-dimensional cast glass sculpture  suspended within in a fused handmade background and encased using heritage stained glass techniques.  It’s a tribute to memory, resilience, and the ocean creatures I first glimpsed as a child swimming in Asian seas.

There will only ever be one original artwork—but this mug carries its story forward, so you can enjoy it with every sip.

Don’t worry — once you enter your postcode at checkout, Etsy automatically updates the price to your local shipping rate. All orders are produced and shipped locally within your region (UK, USA, or Australia) through my print partners, so you’ll always pay standard local shipping and enjoy faster delivery.


Q: What if my order arrives damaged or with a printing error?
A: Don’t worry — I’ll replace it free of charge. Just send me a message with photos within 14 days of delivery.

Q: Can I return or exchange if I ordered the wrong size or changed my mind?
A: Because each item is made to order, I’m unable to accept returns for change of mind, wrong size, or dislikes. Please double-check sizing charts and details before placing your order.

Q: Do I have to send faulty items back?
A: In most cases, no. My print partner just needs photos to verify the issue, and I’ll arrange a replacement for you.

Q: Can I cancel my order?
A: Orders may be cancelled within 2 hours of purchase. After this, production may have already started and cancellation isn’t guaranteed.
