This fine art canvas print features imagery developed during the creation of a bespoke stained glass commission for a Victorian home in West Sussex.
The original commission consisted of a pair of decorative stained glass door panels featuring flowering irises and a dragonfly. Before committing to the final design, a series of studies and development panels were created to explore colour, kiln-fired painting techniques and the best methods for capturing the delicate beauty of the iris in glass.
The accompanying images document that creative journey, from the flower that inspired the design, through the original sketches and development process, to the finished stained glass commission installed in the client's home.
