This piece, the first in my Isolation - Through the Garden Window series - is 34 x 30 cm in size. It consists of a miniature handpainted fused glass panel that transmits a different mood throughout the day as the light changes. It is then set inside a larger handbuilt stained glass panel, painted and constructed using traditional stained glass methods. See the video to watch how the panel was built. This lovely piece can be displayed either hanging on the inside of your window or I can arrange for a custom built stand to be made in order for it to sit on a windowsill display. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use, it could even become part of an interesting garden feature. I have always loved the idea of a stained glass window within a window and this piece is based on observing the bamboo planted around my garden pond. Each piece from this series is unique and takes anything from 1 week to 1 month to fully complete as it goes through various stages in the studio.
